Brandi Dolendo

Biography


No stranger to the stage, Brandi Dolendo is known most for commanding the stage with her powerhouse vocals and theatrical  performances. She was crowned winner of the 2008 Dutch tv show POPSTARS -comparable to American Idol- where she scored a #1 radio hit and signed with record label Warner Music. She recorded her first solo album and headlined European events such as Stockholm, Amsterdam and Antwerpen Pride festivals, Ride for the Roses, Tour De France and was was the opening act for Rick Astley, Marc Almond, Paul Young, & T’Pau at the 1980’s themed concert A Night to Remember. She was featured on Hollands Got Talent and X-Factor UK, Kids Choice NL, and was a guest performer on the hit show The New Uri Gellar Live. Brandi had various side-projects with bands across Europe, experimenting with everything from jazz to glam rock, and spent 10 years headlining on various cruise lines and theaters in mainland Europe, the United Kingdom, and at various resorts and five star hotels in the Caribbean.

Her credits did not stop in the music scene, but carried on with in the dramatic arts industry. Theatrical credits include “Magenta” in Rocky Horror Picture Show (USA), “Flo Manero” in Saturday Night Fever (Royal Caribbean Productions). “Wicked Stepmother” in Cinderella (Theatre Royal Wakefield, UK), “Audrey” in Little Shop of Horrors (USA), “Frenchy” in Grease (USA), “Flo Manfred” in the World Premiere of Meat Street: The Musical (USA), “Reno Sweeney” in Anything Goes (USA), “Sonja” in Godspell (Germany), “Maria” in Watermensen (Netherlands) and the The Vagina Monologues (USA), where she received special recognition for her acting. She had the privilege of opening the brand new cruise line Virgin Voyage’s Scarlett Lady in the one-woman show Never Sleep Alone, playing “Dr. Ava,” a sex therapist with the World’s most fun and interactive TED Talk.  She performed in shows at Universal Studios Orlando, Universal Studios Japan, and for Walt Disney World as a Vocalist in Tarzan Rocks and American Vybe, Winifred Sanderson in the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, a vocalist in Holidays in Hollywood, at Disney’s Jollywood Nights celebration, and can be seen performing in the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, the longest running show on Disney property.
